27mths - Strings of CHIN’s unfortunate

All happened in the mth of June 2010. First, Kaiye’s first birthday was being called off because Auntie Jenn contracted chicken pox followed by Kaien who hasn’t even start cc but was down with mild HFMD which popo suspects he would have got it from his church playgroup. Uncle Xiang took Kaiye over to stay with us for a week and I was down with herpangina a few days later; a distance cousin of HFMD. After that Uncle Xiang contracted mild chicken pox and quarantines himself in his own home while Kaiye with fever finally reunited with Auntie Jenn. During this period, Lexuan experienced high fever and the worried Uncle Kiat & Aunite Karris brought her to hospital in the middle of the night where she was diagnosed with viral fever. The usual Sunday family dinner become quiet…

25.06.2010 – I keep my mouth shut…I couldn’t sing & dance well for the Father’s Day Celebration in cc before I was diagnosed with herpangina. Because of the blisters, I couldn’t eat at all no matter how temping the food is. I could only hold my favorite snacks tightly using my tiny hands; even milk & ice cream hurts… I couldn’t attend cc for a week.

Finally, the coconut juice soothes my throat and I could eat some yoghurt and my favorite pocky on the 3rd day.

24mths – Another new environment

02.04.2010 – Why do I keep changing cc?

At two years old, I have already possessed four set of school uniforms. It happen like this…After visiting numerous cc, my parent was most impressed by the curriculum offered by cc A. It was 3 MRT stations away from where we had stayed and highly unlikely that daddy would be able to fetch me on time every evening thus started me on school bus at a tender age of 18 mths. But after 4mths stint, the management announced that they will be taken over by cc B. The partners had split and sold the school to cc B. My parent took the opportunity to withdraw as I was told that I have a sibling coming and need to cut cost on school fee and I ended up in cc C which was near to home.

However, the teacher in cc C weren’t passionate enough and mummy was upset that the communicate book wasn’t being updated despite numerous reminders, plus I was reluctant and cried horribly on the way to school make my parent realize that happiness is very important than saving the monies thus withdraw me from cc C after one mth and switched me back to previous cc which was already taken over by cc B.

As I got back the smile of joy going to cc, the news came… we received a mailer about an open house of another nearby cc. Nothing unusual at first but the logo caught mummy’s attention and we decided to pay a visit to this cc D. It was a happy day for me like a dream came through cos I saw Barney’s performance! And the new management was one of the previous partners from cc A equip with better quality teachers. I was soon posted to cc D with similar faces from cc A including my favorite Chelsea jiejie. At least 10 children from cc A join cc D… ;)

03.03.2010 – I have turned two
I had three round of cake cutting. One each for both side of the families and one for cc celebration.

Ah Gong’s Birthday falls on Valentine’s Day. We celebrated slightly a few days later and it was simple fair at 1st uncle’s place for steamboat, followed by cake cutting and end with sparklers play.

21 & 22mths - Bye 2009, Hi 2010!

05.01.2010 – Fretful night.
It’s my parent first working day of the year; nothing special to talk about the day except night time when I happily bang my head on Mummy while she was lying on the bed. My forehead punched on Mummy’s nose bridge and broke her blood vessels. The warm blood heavily drools out of her nose forming two red lines on my white doggie soft toy, onto the bedsheet and edge of the bedframe. Daddy was on his computer grab some tissues immediately for Mummy. It was a horrifying experience for Mummy and both of us cried hard. This is Mummy’s very first nosebleed in her life!

Method to ease nosebleed:
Sit down and lean slightly forward so the blood will drain out of your nose instead of down the back of your throat. You might swallow the blood if you lean back and this no good for your stomach.Use your thumb and index finger to squeeze together the soft portion of your nose. This area is located between the end of your nose and the hard, bony ridge that forms the bridge of your nose. Keep holding your nose until the bleeding stops. Don't let go for at least 5 minutes. If it's still bleeding, hold it again for another 5 to 10 minutes.Once the bleeding stops, don't do anything that may make it start again, such as bending over or blowing your nose for the next few days.
